i just got my first car back in sepember last year its a 1994 honda civic EG4 i live in australia its right hand drive first part of the VIN is JHMEG4 and there is a sticker in the engine bay saying made in japan does this mean i have a JDM civic or something else, what qualifies as a JDM civic ??

I think Australia would get JDM cars because it is soo close to Japan, but i could be wrong

my usdm sedan was made in japan. not all cars in japan were made for the jdm.

However I believe Australia got JDM Cars.

#176956 my coupe says Honda of America MFG Inc but is right hand drive, but as said mate unless there is a honda plant in aus yours will be from japan, whereas uk civics were made in swindon.

#177077 Yeah, don't confuse Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) with "Made in Japan". Your EG4 should be considered "AUDM".

Now in NZ, they do have authentic JDM alongside their NZDM due to their generous vehicle import laws. Not so much in Oz due to the more protectionist policy.
