#181612 Hey guys im looking to run or mod my z6 block and put ZC pistons in it. Wondering what kinda work has to be done to the block to run this set up. And what kinda power gains am i looking at?
Any input would be nice thanks.

well friom what io have heard you cant put zc pistons in a z6 block if you have a z6 head the vlave reliefs are in the wrong place but im not sure about difrent heads such as a b7 head or a y8 head but if you ron zc pistons in a z6 block the compression will be up there somwhere around 12 to 1 depending on your head gasket choice
if you want to stick with a z6 head just get some b7 pistons and a z6 head gasket and that will be 11.7 to 1 copression ratio wich is pretty damn good with that high of a compresion a good tune and simple bolt ons such as header intake exhaust you should be somwhere aroud 150 hp

#181714 i have never tried it but im almost 100percent sure the valves will hit and grenade inside your motor i think the b7 head will be fine but thats not a vtec head so its kinda pointless on an na motor

i guess you can put zc pistons in a z6 with a z6 head but get ready for some crazy tuning
i would really suggest becoming a member of d-series.org they have a shit load of info on p29s in z6 block

#181719 See i just read it on d-series.org that you can do it to a y8 block and be fine. What is the difference to a z6. i mean they are exactly the same motors, but a different OBD

i think the reason i thought it wouldnt work is bc of how much tuning it takes to get it right and alot of people face issues with detonation but i say go for it
