x2 def try that, right where the map bolts onto the throttle body is in an air passage, if that passage is stopped up it could cause that? ive never seen or heard this happen, but ive come to learn anything is possible, that also goes for getting 3 bad maps... anything is possible.... :?

#182531 It's quite obvious that the MAP sensor is not the problem. It could be the wiring or the throttle body.

yea, after trying three different ones, check the wiring.

#182909 I don't know what you mean by "one off my harness". You will use the one that has a proper vacuum connection to the throttle body. Firewall mounted MAP sensors are for throttle bodies that have a small vacuum line coming off the top with a hose connected to the MAP. Newer throttle bodies (~ 1994+) and most VTEC engines have the MAP mounted directly on top. If that is what your engine has, then use that.

#183034 i mean the plug that comes off the firewall not the map sensor it self cuz i have two plugs for a map sensor

#183076 You can't have plugs for two MAP sensors unless you added one.

If you have a VX then there's an EGR controller on the firewall in the center behind the intake manifold.

The TPS plug is identical to the MAP sensor plug except with different colored wires.

What is the year and model of car and what engine is in it? Also a brief history of the car. When was it last working, what was done to it...

#183117 ok its a 92 dx
with a 93 b18a1,with a 97 integra intake manifold,i got the car with nothing so i got a 94 dx harness. i got the car as a shell but the last motor in it was a ls-v and it worked fine

#183404 Being that the car has been previously modified, has a mismatched intake manifold, and a B18A... I pretty much have to see it in person to be of any help. There's just too much stuff going on there to predict all the potential problems.

thats basicly the setup i had in my integra, i had a usdm b20, 00 ls intake mani,tb,fuelrail, injectors, and a 95 sohc vtec harness, i used the obd2 dist, injectors and everything... and didnt have a problem one, the year of your long block shouldnt make a difference on anything as long as you have everything hooked up right, the only diff. between the obd1 ls and the obd2 ls is the location of the pcv, other than the latemodel head and cams being better and a better intake manifold and exhaust manifold being better flowing supposedly, but the basics are the same... is your pcv setup hooked up right? because your engine has a breather canister on the back of the block where as the 96+ motors do not... :?

#183581 yea that canister is all hooked up right i juts put a pcv vavle in it what happens if it is not hooked up right
