D17 valve cover question....

- Tue Mar 23, 2010 11:11 pm #183235 Just wondering if you can use the D17 vlave cover on teh D16 honda motors 92+ such as the Y7,Z6 Y8 ....

Since this Valve cover is already flat i wont need to hurt a valve cover to take one down. so it is smooth....and for some reason haveing nothing on them apparently makes them cheaper because they seem to be selling a bit cheaper than the other valve covers....

- Wed Mar 24, 2010 12:09 am #183245 there are studs coming out of the top where the coils bolted to. Also the vacuum line is coming out of the center instead of the corner, and it is a lot larger in dia. So you'll need a new vacuum line that goes from small to large. There's one other issue on the right side... something with the oil dipstick or timing cover.... it's been a while. I bought one last year to see if it would fit but it's not quite a direct swap. It wouldn't take much though :thumb:
