#188126 The mot shop will b looking for worn bushings as the most physical aspect of the inspection. I failed one time cause my steering rack end bushing was worn and it was causing some play at the ends. They also check to see if u have any lights on in your cluster (airbag, abs, check engine light). They put a sniffer on ur tailpipe to check emissions, so the o2 sensor and catalyst must be doing their job right. One time I failed due to my seatbelts were worn-they were a little frayed in places since the car had quite a few miles on it. They also inspected my ehaust system, the roads over there are treated with tons of salt in the winter so that destroys factory exhaust. The bushings are going to thake a fair amount of mechanical skills, but o2 sensors and catalyst replacement are rather easy. The windscreen should be free of cracks, if you have any, they are not allowed to be in the drivers immediate view or something like that. Of course your lights must be operable as well as your horn.

#188173 Cv joints will need replacement, expect a 30 pounds for each of those plus labour. The rear light will be an issue as they chceck those too, go to Halfords and get some spray contact cleaner and take all the light bulbs out of their respective sockets and spray that in the sockets...loose wires are rare unless you snagged it with something rolling around in the boot.

#188248 U can get that thing at Halfords too for just over a pound. In america we just put a 25 cent coin with head towards the tread...if it makes it past george washingtons head, its good. Maybe the queens pound coin will be similar.
