#151503 So I got my exhaust fixed up right. Plus added a test pipe ($6 at AutoZone) and CEL eliminator ($5 at AutoZone). Sounds pretty damn good for a stock B18B1.

Pics in a few. Going to take them now.

#151710 Header pictures:
Top side shot. Not sure what #3 cyl is doing. It hasn't turned purple like it should. It's firing, but apparently it's not getting hot enough. Too rich, maybe?

4-1 FTW!
Image

The only spot where I had to cut or modify anything to get it to fit.
Image

No room to bleed the clutch lines...which I need to do...
Image

Front shot of ground clearance at stock ride height. I have no worries when I lower this thing;

Collector and test pipe.

I also picked up a set of PWJDM reservoir covers.

#151730 Thanks, dude. I hope to have some spare cash soon for either a Skunk2 IM or a Buddy Club SpecII catback. I'm selling my '94 DC4 shell soon so I should realize one of those parts shortly after that.

#158217 So I ordered, recieved, and installed a Benen B-pillar bar, a pair of WekSos amber bumper lights, and a pair of tires for the back wheels.

Instead of buying an exhaust, I chose to go with a safety matter...tires...

So, I have updated the first post with what all has been installed and such.

Thanks for viewing!

#162052 Took my car out to Eagle's Canyon Raceway this past Saturday. That was fucking awesome. But it made me realize I need to work on my road course driving skillz, need better tires, and need better suspension. Power is also a big must...

I only spun out once, and I went sideways once. Recovered from the sideways incident in textbook form with a mild blip of the throttle to straighten up. Coming down and around turn 3 a little too hot and lifted on the throttle a little bit when I saw a BMW M Coupe spun out. The spin was done and over with before I could even react. Coming down turn 9 too fast on pavement that was not 100% dry yet. Lots of intentional liftoff oversteer took place so I could attempt to help my cause on lap times. Forutnately no timing occured. It was just a fun race day. I got 5x 25minute runs, three of which the track was completely wet, the last of which the track was completely dry. I'd say that was $50 well spent.

#169393 HIDs! I haz 'em! 6000K. Got a job at Jet Works, too. I start Monday. It'll pay a hell of a lot better than AutoZone, so I'll be able to do more shit to my baby. If anyone even looks at this, expect updates.

#184241 Ok. So I haven't really done much to my car since the last time I posted up here.

-Finally installed my Hasport rear engine mount.
-Finally ordered, recieved, and installed an AEM short ram intake (thank you www.statracing.com).
-Got a custom coolant expansion tank/oil catch can (thank you www.s2carbonworks.com).
-Replaced the valve cover gasket, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, oil pan gasket, exhaust cam plug, spark plug tube seals, and oil/filter. All gaskets except for the exhaust cam plug are OE Honda, the plug is PW:JDM.
-Replaced the starter and start cut relay.
-Bypassed the clutch interlock switch (neutral safety switch).
-Ordered a Blox intake manifold, but just got an email saying it will be at least 2 months before I get it due to a massive backorder.
-Ordered a Vibrant flat black 2.5"IN/2.5"OUT muffler and I'm going to get my buddy Thomas to weld up a stainless exhaust for me.

I've had to spend most of my money on tools because of the new job, but trust me, now that I'm not contract anymore, expect great things to become of my DC4.

#188455 Got my exhaust welded up last night. It's pretty loud...seriously. I figured it wouldn't be as loud as it is, but it's all good. I'm going to order either a Skunk2 IM or a Carsounds catalytic converter to quiet things up a bit.

I'd like to get the converter before my trip to the beach...the drone is pretty epic. But my butt dyno tells me there's a little more power available.

Pics in a few.

#188464 Pics:

Stock muffler.
Image

Stock B-pipe.
Image

This is the stock flange from the stock cat. It's currently welded to my test pipe. It will be replaced with a 2.5" flange when I get the cat, and some more flanges.
Image

Nearing completion!
Image

The master at work.
Image

More or less a full view of the completed exhaust. I have two clamps on right now because we ran out of tubing and flanges...
Image

The muffler after everything was complete. My car is exremely dirty, and typically stays that way. I have to drive 100ish miles per day, so it gets dirty next day after washing...
Image

Hope you like it!

#188498 It's WAY too loud. I'm ordering a cat on Friday. Hopefully I won't get pulled over before I can get it welded in.

#190067 Installed some Goodridge G-stop stainless steel braided brake lines today.

I can't tell if there's still air in the lines or not... The pedal is soft, but when I'm at a stop and try to push the pedal further, it's nice and stiff. I'm confused... Going to the Jaguar dealership where my buddy works tomorrow so I can put the vacula on the brake lines.

#207575 Since last post in here:

Brakes are perfect.
Transmission took a shit.
Replaced transmission.
Clutch master cylinder has decided it wants to operate properly only occasionally.

Picture of what came out of my transmission drain plug:
Image

Found a B16 transmission about 40 miles to my West (Ft. Worth area), picked it up for $450, and swapped it in. I lost the bitch pin, so I used a 5/16" shank bolt in it's place until David McDavid Acura could get one shipped in for me.

Holy shit...the accelleration difference is phenomenal. It's not the fastest thing on 4 wheels, but I used to be able to keep pace with stock S2000s in the twisty backroads around here. Now I'm in their taipipes. Just need better suspension and tires to make proper use of this transmission.

Now I think my CMC is fucked.

Yay.
