#188770 ok i just got done wit my mini swap i used a d15b2 block wit a d16y8 vtec head. i got everything i needed y8 head gasket y8 timing belt etc. when i first started the car it idles fine but when i take up to like 2500 rpms it bogs down. i can only think of the injectors are too big giving the motor too much fuel or wat i just found out is that the dizzy is off a 1.5 motor. if anyone could help me out to get my car going that would be sweet.

#188776 the inj. are all the same from the factory, at least for them it is, as long as you have obd1 or obd2 inj your fine, i would use the y8 dist if you can get one and get the pig tail to adapt that dist to obd1...

#188778 if a z6 dizzy works use that so you can stay obd1 and not fuck wit the harness.. but it might not fit.. but if you go wit the y8 dizzy people make a jumper for the obd1 harness to fit the obd2 dizzy plugs :thumb:

im pretty sure the z6 dosent fit right, but msd makes an adapter for like 20 bucks so u can use the y8 dist

#188787 ok cool and i kno the injectors are all the same but when i got the car wit the y8 in it he had h22 injectors on the head so i would have to change the clips to fit stock y8 injectors

#188811 Please tell me you are running the ECU for the y8. I didn't see that in your list of things you got for the swap so I have to check.

Are you still using the h22 injectors ... or did you swap to d-series injectors? Also what OBD are the injectors?

#188863 yea i had a full y8 swap in it wit a p28 ecu so i already had that i just bought the d15 block cuz cylinder in my y8 block wasnt firing so the injectors wasnt the problem at it was my map sensor and a pressure valve that needed re-wired so its fine now
