- Mon Apr 26, 2010 2:16 pm #190153 i have a 93 cx hatch with a d16z6 swap and i found a 93dx coupe with a cluster with tach will i need to do anything for the tach to work or is simple plug in play..?? also coupe and hatch body as in doors and such are interchangeable? i am new to this and trying to piece my car back together so can start the body work

there you go nothing needed but just swaping them out

coupe/hatch doors are the same too

auto dx's came with tachs, and i have seen some manual 4dr have tachs in them stock, you can tell what chassis it came from by the redline i have even seen some eg's have a tach that only reads to 8k

auto dx's came with tachs, and i have seen some manual 4dr have tachs in them stock, you can tell what chassis it came from by the redline i have even seen some eg's have a tach that only reads to 8k

really? I don't have a Tach on my auto.

Just speculating here but it could have been an option? I don't have the book to tell for sure

yea my bad, i ment it was an option... sorry i wasnt clear lol i think it was an option in any dx...

- Tue May 04, 2010 10:52 pm #191860 OP: The redline from a USDM DX/LX (~6500) won't be correct for your D16Z6 engine (~7200)... if you're going to get a tach, it might as well be the right one, if you care about these things.
