Ok that right there is a bias statement not every illegal mexican sends money back to mexico. you say that the government needs to handle this problem? but what the government needs to do is pay all there debt and quit blaming a certain ethnic group for there economical situation. :crazy:

- Sat May 01, 2010 12:05 pm #191295 Nobody is pointing blame at a certain ethnic group for our economical situation... but that fact still remains... they aren't helping the economy. They don't pay taxes but they feel they should be able to reap the benefits of them??? :eh:

and all that crap of them "providing the service that no one would take into consideration" is bullshit... I've personally worked being a laborer/bitch for a few construction companies and worked in lawn maintenance/care and other jobs of "providing the service that no one would take into consideration"... I've done it and I know for a fact others would/will!

I agree with you...and I disagree. The services is a valid argument and I agree, no taxes no help. But in the same respect you really think illegals are going to call the cops if something happens? Not on your life. And they still spend here in the states...they live here, they need to eat, get gas and clothes, so they do spend money here even if they are sending money to family in Mexico.

Now the jobs, I still say that they do some jobs no one in America really wants to do. Constuction is not in that realm. Janitors, gardners, field workers, slaughter houses etc. I hold the highest respect for the mexicans that do some random ass disgusting jobs....with pride! If nothing else they are models for work ethic that us as Americans just dont exhibit as a majority and for the most part take for granted.

I was watching this video on yahoo news about it and they were interviewing this hispanic teen and she was telling them how her parents are illegal but her, her sister and little brother are legal..well she was scared her parents might be deported...yeah its sad but that's your parents fault for coming over illegal in the first place..had they came over legally, there wouldn't be a problem.its stupid...they made this law just to enforce the law that's already in place.if you come over illegally there will be consequences...duh

I also lived in Florida where there are a lot of illegals and the unemployment rate is the 2nd highest in the United States. How do you think it feels when your out of work and own your own buiseness but everytime you bid a job (which isn't a high bid by any means. Just enough to pay your employees and make enough to cover the bills) your undercut by an illegal that will do it for almost no profit because 4 families live in the same house. I've been there with my old roomate and watched him struggle because someone who is illegal is taking the jobs from hard working Americans.

Sure the first people off the boat were illegals by today's standards, but there were no laws then and no such thing as illegals.
Times are a lot different now than they were 500 years ago. Not even a valid comparison. This bill needed to be introduced a long time ago, but they waited as long as they could until the problem was a BIG problem. Now there's no choice.
So earlier it was said about some illegals have children who are American citizens by default. Now the parents are at risk of being caught. Well you know what? Ya shouldn't have broken the law to begin with.

If we let illegal parents of children stay then every illegal is gonna get knocked up to have kids here and then the whole problem just multiplies. More strain on our healthcare, unemployment, less taxes paid etc...
If you wanna be in the US, you gotta play by the rules or hope you don't get caught.

Illegals doing jobs that americans don't want to do is true, but in times like this americans will take any job. Sure we will have to pay more for our landscaping, produce, etc when americans are being paid to do it, but at least that money goes back into the system.

Human instinct is to survive and most people want to prosper, so I can't blame them for coming to the US, except for the fact that it is hurting those who live here. There are some good people who just want to make a living and some who smuggle drugs or come to the us to commit crime to make money. Unfortunately they all fall into the illegal category.

This bill may not be the final solution, but it's what we're doing right now to get the problem under control.

If they had not come over here illegal in the first place there would be no problem. Mexican's are being singled out because well how many Canadians do you know that skip across the border illegal? I don't know any..How many do you see coming from Europe and other Eastern countries and are illegal? Hardly any. I think that if you're going to come over here illegally you are going to have to deal with the consequences of your actions. It does suck for the children who were born here and are legal citizens of the US because their parents might be deported, but you know what..it's the parents fault.

Think before you act!!
