- Wed May 05, 2010 1:50 am #191880 okay, So i was rolling down the freeway doing about 80... then all of a sudden my car dies...I try to start it but it just wont start. so i spray it with some starter fluid and it start up but it is running kinda slow then it dies again. I hear my fuel pump going every time i turn the key. please help I just replaced my fuel filter/pump a couple of days ago. do you think my injectors a clogged? please help! thanks.

- Wed May 05, 2010 2:01 am #191884 It kinda sounds like the icm my car did that once it was running then all at once it was dying like it was loosing fuel. I pulled over tried to start it and it wouldn't start then it did and it ran for about a min then dead. So try the icm its located in the dizzy

- Wed May 05, 2010 2:41 am #191896 Ignition Control Module is an electrical part inside the distributor. The ICM is expensive from Honda, I would buy a used distributor and see if that fixes the problem.

First check for spark. Pull your spark plug wire out and set it on your valve cover. Then crank the car and look for the spark arcing from the plug wire to the valve cover. It will be easier to see in the dark.

If you have spark, then the problem is elsewhere.
