Turbo and Supercharger discussion

#192743 Hey guys,

Going to have some money in the summer to make my coupe a bit more fun to drive [after suspension setup]

Currently it's got a bone stock D15b7.

Should I - work with my D15, full cat back, turbo?
or should I work to get a B16a2 swap?
Oooooor a B18c4 swap?

I want to head the turbo route eventually anyway, so I was thinking I could turbo my D15b7 then replcae it with a D15b, so i can keep the turbo kit?

Any insight onto what to do? I'm totally stuck. [I can get a B18c4 for a bit more than a B16a2 - but the B18 comes with a car so i could drop my old D15b7 into it and then sell it back on]

x2, if im not mistaken the c4 is like a gsr, and that setup on about 9 psi +/- would be killer... turbo gsr's can be a 300whp setup easy with the right parts... :thumb:

would not turbo the b7 but thats just my .02

true about the stock gsr making good power with a turbo added. i installed a turbo setup on a stock gsr and made 283 to the wheels without any tuning. just a basemap.

personally, I would play with the single setup instead. if you damage the B engine you will be spending way more than if you need to replace or work on a D engine. raise the comp of the D engine, boost, tune and drive it off into the sunset.

do much research about the turbo setup and be confident your doing the right thing the first time around and you should be fine  i planned mine for about a 6 months before i started buying parts... the tune is key :thumb:
