ok what ECU is in the car. what was he using for ECU?. make sure the ECU is tuned for the motor if it's chipped. swap it out with a factory one see if it fixes.

seems like that's the last thing..

and yes if the wires were not put into that plug correctly. the one u said u accidently pulled off. it will mess with the car. ur pretty much reversing the wiring.

#192088 im using the same p28 he was using when he had the z6 in his car, its not chipped. before i put on the new IACV i checked another eg to see how the wires were put into the plug. I reset the ecu also but it still does it. I called a local tuner today and he said that some plugs may be switched around. Im going to check that all the plugs are in the right spot. If i cant figure this thing out im just going to take it to him. I want it fixed before anything worse happens.

this is what i have done so far...
new cap and rotor
new spark plugs
added an extra ground wire
replaced iacv
put a different MAP sensor on.
changed the oil

i am now running the chipped ecu that i had for my b16a... but it now has the basemap for a d16z6.

Its not giving me a CEL.
It passed smog with this problem.
Could it be the fuel pressure?
Bad dizzy?

sounds like your map and tps connectors are switched.
also base timing should be set at 16*btdc

#193619 You should probably check and make sure your cluster still has a check engine light and that it's not burned out. Unplug one of the sensors like TPS or MAP sensor and see if the light comes on. If not, then you really don't know if it's giving you a CEL or not.

Like everyone else in this thread, i'm willing to bet you TPS and MAP plugs are wrong.

#193803 The CEL light is working fine.... i already tried unplugging a sensor and it gave me a CEL. Plugged it back in, turned the car back on, no more CEL. So it works
im positive the plugs are in the correct spot.....how much u wanna bet butterzz? lol

If they were switched wouldnt it give me a CEL?
