#199116 My sohc zc is acting up. In the morning when I start her up she idles at 2500-3000 then drops to 900-1100 and bounces. I had kinda the same problem when I first bought it. I took it to the honda dealer and they found the gasket between the throttle body and IM was almost gone. It cost me $100 for a $6 gasket. :x Anyway, shes at it again. I adjusted the little plastic screw inside the IVAC or whatever its called. Not sure if I did it right though. Anybody have any ideas on what it could be. Also when I turn on the a/c it drops to 600 rpms and bounces and shutters and has turned off twice.

HELP!!! :?:

#202688 i had the same problem with my b7 and when i had the rear wheel hubs replaced i had them take a look at it and there was a pinhole leak coming from the back of the head to the bottom side of the IACV as soon as i replaced that hose ($5 bucks for the hose from just about any auto parts store) the idle stopped jumping.. have you noticed any loss of antifreeze/coolant? before i changed that hose i kep having to get coolant ever so often and couldnt figure out how( i figured i was burning up coolant) anyway... hope that helps

#202905 Beatdowncivic thanks for the info. I haven't lost any coolant. The idle is fine now after i adjusted the FITV. Now its sputtering when I take off in first gear or if I shift too early. It lags power but if I stay on the gas it goes away. Weird!! I took off my iacv today and cleaned it with carb cleaner. I'll post an update tomorrow and see if that fixed the problem.
