car wont start

- Wed Jun 23, 2010 9:28 pm #201730 i was driving and some how one of my spark plug wires came disconnected and i didnt know it, i went round a corner to stop an check what was wrong and the car cut out, i tried to start it a few times then when that failed i pushed it to the side of the road and looked under the hood and i saw the disconnected wire an reconnected it but it wouldnt start i have the EG8 civic with a D15B7 any help would be very much appreciated

- Wed Jun 23, 2010 10:22 pm #201745 I have the same engine and same problem right now lol... mine starts eventually but when its almost flattened the battery. If you find a fix let me know what you did. does your engine turn over just not fire up? thats what mines doing, Ive changed out plugs and wires and no change yet... Im thinking dizzy next

id check it 1st. not expensive to replace you can find the coil on this site on our home page, bottom left. 1A auto. just because it looks new doenst mean it still works. it's the internal part of it that fries up.

- Wed Jun 30, 2010 3:11 am #202552 same thing happen to me today when I was heading home. But the cyclinder #2 was flooded with oil. Causing no spark.

I will be changing out the wires and spark plugs and see if this will start the car.

Weird thing is I changed all the gaskets on the valve cover + the center spark plug ones as well (family mechanic when I first got her) and it failed now.

Makes me wonder if he used any gasket sealer... :eh:

Does anyone have a picture of the valve cover and what other gasket is around the spark area. Thank you and I am in the middle of doing a search to see if there is any picture i can locate.
