if your not gonna modify the body then you wont be able to lower it that much without rubbing, it will probably rub pretty bad you may even start chipping paint off the fenders a bit

#20746 err....i cant remember.....and i dont feel like looking its dark outside...lol...but i checked earlier and i have like 3 inches of clearence..from the tire to my body...and im getting like 1.8 inch in front and 1.5 in rear...so i think ill be alright....they are only like half an inch bigger in diameter compared to my stock steelies...so i hope that gives you an idea

#20754 what he said ^^^

you'll have to get some sort of camber correction like the skunk2 stuff is good and affordable.

also something like up-grading the LCA's will help stop body roll, etc so there is less chance of rubbing.

#20760 Make sure your rim offset is correct or you will rub in a bad way. I had 17" Motegi rims with 205/40/17 toyos with Koni full threaded suspension and I had to raise it up instead of lowering it to fit right. It was a terrible ride. Dumped the 17's and went to 15's and lowered it correctly. What a difference.

seriously, 17 inch on a hatchback is like riding a jeep. go with 16 or 15.

Slamming on 17 inch... i've did it on my car.. i don't have any problems, yeah only with thos fugly speedbumps

my 17 inch slammed:

#20938 Even though you may have a 3 inch arch gap when you go over a bump obviousely the suspension will compress and your tyre could catch your wing/ fender

I had mine pretty low and it was okay most of the time but when i turned sharply it would rub and catch - i raised mine soon after and am happy with the height. Its not slammed but whats the point if you cant drive it? :P

#20945 yea..the only reason i got 17s was because i got a deal on them...i might try to trade them for 16's or 15's
