#210098 ok so i was wondering on this diagram where does the green/black wire go to?
Image
is it already in my stock harness and i gotta find it or do i have to pin it in to the fues box like every other accessory?

but this says it needs fuses to work and it gives you spots sooo.... im assuming there's an exact point thats its wired to!!!

#210110 You have to wire it in .. but IIRC there's other components that run off GRN/BLK from Fuse 14, so you can just tap into them (use a wire T-Taps...)

Check in the manual under "Power Distribution" ... it will have other components listed for Fuse 14.

#210111 Yeah, here it is ... fuse 14 goes to the moonroof relays and all wiper and washer motors. Easy to find.

#210557 ok so took a shot at this and this is my outcome..........

ran all the wires ... ran two sizes testing skinny like oem and then one gauge thicker.... tried like 8 grounds......

both motors work but only only at a time and only on drivers side plug

if both headlights are pluged in only one headlight works (drivers) and only on settings 2 and 3

if i unplug the passengers side the drivers works perfect. if i plug in the passenger headlight into the drivers side plug it works perfect..................

i cant figure out whats wrong only thing i cant think is that the plug is bad on the passenger side but i ran wires straight to the headlight and it still did not want to work i a got was like an electrical grunt out of it?

confused as fuh

#210559 I didn't follow that all completely, but it sounds to me like a continuity problem and/or a ground problem. Do you have a multimeter to test all the wire you ran?? This is where I'd start.

EDIT: Also double check that all the wires are connected to the right spot.

#210562 all ran were ran correctly and everything ... like i said i even tried two guages of wires to see if not enough ohms were getting to the headlights to power both.. still didnt work right. i plugged in both headlights to the drivers side plug and both worked but when i only have the passenger side plugged in nothing works

i know the wiring is good cuz when i plug in the headlights the drivers side sets itself to default. but the passenger side wont

idk im sooooooooooooo confused

#210565 This really sounds like a bad ground issue to me. Triple and quadruple check your wiring. If both motors work, but not at the same time, it means power is PROBABLY grounding out through some other wire. I'm surprised you haven't blown a fuse but that doesn't always happen necessarily.

Get out your multimeter and test test test test. Aggravating, but only by attacking the problem systematically will you resolve it.

#210566 ive gone through like 8 grounds ... i took everything apart for now im gunna make my own harness for it but i mean still i just cant figure it out .... im gunna try getting another plug the the passenger side and see if that works
what reading should i get on each wire???? i never have used mutimeters when wiring...... ive been lucky and just had everything work the first time

i mean ive done alot of wiring but ive never ran into this kinda problem

#210573 Test for continuity first. ie., set it to read ohms (resistance) ... when connected to both ends of the wire, it should read ZERO (or close)
