#210440 I Ive got a b18c but do not know if its a B18c spec r, or a B18c sir-g. Any ways of finding that out?

Also, what is the difference between a c1 head, c5 head, and the B18C head (from japan)?

#210452 the manifold will tell you what motor you have. Post a pic.

It will also say on the block B18c something if its an american motor.

the C5 and spec R heads will have pr3 on the casting some where.

#210533 I'm pretty sure that's a B18C1 equivalent. If the intake manifold is upside down and has the lever with a dashpot on the FPR side that it's definitely a GSR.

Greasedmonkey will come back and confirm this but I have a GSR and it has P72 stamped on the head just like yours.

btw Greasedmonkey is awesome. :thumb:

#210577 Take a picture of the intake manifold or of the engine bay facing the car if the engine is in the car already.

Im awesome!! Wow, thanks.

Yes, P72 is a gsr head. You have what seems to be a JDM GSR or SiR-G motor.

When and if you order a new intake manifold for this motor, get one for a gsr.

the USDM B18C1 (GSR) and JDM B18C (Sir-G) look like their intake manis are on upside down, like the picture you posted :thumb:

nice swap :thumb:

#210737 Sir-g and GSR are the same motors pretty much.

ITR and Spec R are the same.

They just come from different sides of the pond.

You have a JDM B18c motor, which is a Sir-G. If you want to get more parts for it, you will be ordering parts for a USDM GSR motor. Its all the same. The main difference will be the intake manifold. It has to be GSR/Sir-G (p72) head specific.

The ITR and Spec R both use the PR3 casting which is the same as the B16a/B17a head.
