My bf's mom, who fought off breast cancer last year, is going to be doing the "race for the cure" this year on October 2nd. We are going to try to get as many donations as possible to help the cause.

I mean hello, who wouldn't want to help keep boobies and keep people alive? :D I rep all day, everyday with my I <3 boobies bracelet.

Anyway, her goal, herself, is to get $50. Her teams goal is to get $250. If you are in the area, you can join her team and race or donate. I'm trying to get the word spread because she hasn't had anyone donate anything yet.

Anything $1, $3, $150..ANYTHING helps! :D

If you want to support boobies, donate :)

Thanks guys!! :D

#213079 I would donate, but I donate in my own way. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, so i know how it is to go through that. I congratulate her for pulling through, and good luck with the run. :thumb:

#213119 x2 I'm doing the Phx Komen 5k next month on my b-day. Our Team goal for my work is $2k. My aunt is a survivor. I started doing this run and others about 4 years ago because of her.

#213160 Yay! That's awesome. Yeah, Blake's mom (greasedmonkey) had breast cancer last year and they got it out and then it came back. So she went back in and went through radiation and now it's gone.

There's been quite a few people in both of our families that have had cancer. My aunt has been fighting off leukemia for a little over 2 years now. Blake's dad had cancer twice (I believe) and got it removed. I've had a great uncle die of cancer and my mom's cousin also had breast cancer.

It's awesome to help out for a cause especially one like this. Blake's mom will be competing in the race, along with his cousin. I was going to but I have no money to participate so I will be doing my best by getting her donations.

#213162 Dang, I don't have much cancer in my family. Only a few odd people here and there. Y'all better make sure to stay tested and healthy, sounds like the odds of either of you getting it is higher than average.

I didnt have money to do it either but luckily my work has a "community envolvement" department that reimburses you for selected events, this being one of them. Which is what allowed me to participate this year.

I also do a walk for a cure (can't remember which organization it is for, but its for breast cancer) that is held by the local schools here in the Phx East valley. The schools compete to raise the most money. Its pretty cool.
