#212879 i have a b20vtec in a eg9 and i was wondering if an RTSi 4wd transmission will work on the b20 since it was originally 4wd from the CRV? That would be cool a 4wd b20vtec monster, would the trany be able to handel the torque?
jus asking cuz a guy is selling parts form a RTSi shell and i was wondering if its worth the money to buy the 4wd system...

#212998 RTSI AWD is D Series. It wont be easy to convert a B Series to use it.

The Rear Differentual also moves at a different speed then the B20's AWD CR-V Transmission. So even if you put B20 and CR-V Manual Transmission into an EG and used the RTSI axles and rear diff it wouldn't work correctly.

For the Required fab work, it would make more since to get all 1st gen CR-V AWD Parts and put that into a EG.

Not worth the Effort IMO. I thought about doing it a while back, however its way way to much fabrication then its worth.

#213194 yeah i know way to much fab......unless if im gonna building some MAD honda rally machine.. :hehe: but too much for a daily driver
i think the best route to go is buy a working RTSi, turbo the engine and have fun. :thumb:

#213199 you could buy an RTSi take out the Dseries and throw the B20 AWD set up in there and put a different diff in there. they say the miata rear diff fits in there rear quite nicely. but you'd have to do your own researd for that.
