- Thu Sep 16, 2010 2:02 am #213916 S4C = 99-00 Si trans (there should be the VIN# on it if it is USDM trans it should go some thing like 1HGEM1blahblahblah EM1= 99-00 Si 99-00 Sir (canada) etc..

if it was LSD trans it would be Stamped LSD on the casing

NON - LSD trans (bar in the middle)


LSD trans (no Bar in the middle)

My transmission says S4C on it as well. It's from a 1999 Civic Si. No LSD.

The VIN code on the transmission will be on the clutch housing right next to the mating flange.

- Thu Sep 16, 2010 9:08 pm #214034 thats not on all b tranes cuz my cuzing has a type r trans with lsd and a gsr with lsd with none of that noncence on th ebell housing i would no i but bolth them in his teg and ik it has lsd do to that you can see right thrw the trans were the axles goes. i just remeber getting my trans at jdm engine zone it just came in and he took it off a motor that was still on the tralior

i think s4c is a civic type r trans

it has the same gear ratio but its not a ctr trans

- Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:32 am #214102 I know the ITR transmission has dual synchros, and I thought I read somewhere that the CTR transmission also has them. Either dual synchros or beefier synchros. I can't remember.
