#214217 Glad to announce that this is my first car and I got a crazy deal on it!

Paid $1,100 USD
1998 Honda Civic HX EJ7
98,XXX original miles!
5-Speed Transmission, Shifts smoooth no grinds!
Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors
Interior is all stock including the stock radio, and it's in mint condition!
Exterior has NO RUST! Just a little rust spot on the hood and the back bumper is cracked.
Has minor damage to the rear QP on the passenger side ( nothing major )
Break lights don't turn on.. working on fixing that.
Springs are cut but I have the OEM Springs and struts which will be replaced for the winter.. as well as all four tires.
Has black housing headlights and an aftermarket rice grill which will all be changed eventually. Other than that it's all stock!
Soon she shall be on the road! :hehe:
My plans for her:

-Viper Alarm
-2000 Front End
-Tein Basic Suspension.. or maybe some S.Tech spring / Shock combo.
-Get some kind of rims...still unsure.
-Tints
-New Radio and install my 12" JL Subs
-Get a new rear bumper/ SI Tail lights.
-Rear window visor & M3 wing
-Front&Rear Lips.. most likely Type R or if I can find the OEM lips (which I doubt lol)
-HID's & Clear Fog lights
-Re-Paint it RED!
-Exhaust system... and some engine work! but no swaps... because it's a bitch in BOSTON! :x
-s2000 Steering wheel... or maybe a quick release.
-I really want some Black GSR Leathers.... we'll see.
-And a few other things I can't think of right now... lol

Here are a few pics I have:

EJ but thanks bro!.. I used to think 96-2000's (except SI's which are EM1's) were EK's as well until a friend of mine layed it out for me. EK's are 96-2000 Hatchback's. :x I originally wanted a ferio or eg sedan whatever you may call it (hence my username) but I just couldn't pass up on this deal!

Trim levels are easiest to describe on a global level by their chassis codes.

Coupe: Trims available in the coupe body style were the EJ6 (US DX, Canadian DX and DX-V), EJ7 (US HX), EJ8 (US EX, Canadian Si) and EM1 (only 1999 and 2000; US Si, Canadian SiR).

Hatchback: Trims available in the hatchback body style were the EJ6 (US CX and DX, Canadian CX/CX-G/DX/SE), EJ9 (1.4L SOHC model), EK1 (1.5L SOHC VTEC-E model), EK2 (1.3L model), EK3 (1.5L SOHC model), EK4 (Japanese SiR, European SiR and/or VTi), EK6 (Japanese 1.6L SOHC model), EK7 (Japanese 1.6L SOHC model) and the EK9 (Japanese Type R).

Sedan: Trims available in the sedan body style were the EJ6 (US DX/LX/VP, Canadian EX/LX), EJ8 (US EX), EJ9 (1.4L SOHC model), EK1 (1.5L SOHC VTEC-E model), EK2 (1.3L model), EK3 (1.5L SOHC model), EK4 (Japanese SiR, European SiR and/or VTi), EK5 (Japanese 1.6L SOHC 4WD model), EK8 (Japanese 1.6L SOHC model) and EN1 (US GX).

this is how i see it (not sayin your wrong)

88-91 ALL civic's are EF's
92-95 ALL civic's are EG's
96-00 ALL civic's are Ek's
01-05 ALL civic's are EM's

ya it might be a ej6,eh1,ep3 or ed8
to me its falls under that class of style

so to me your coupe is a ek
but everyone has there own input on that

but none the less nice start
your coupe looks sick as it is
maybe a nice wax job to make the paint shine

Yeah man I see it the same way as you.. to me all 96-00 are EK's as well. Now I have a reliable source to make him feel stupid! And thanks bro! I'll probably just leave it as is for the winter, just put in the OEM shocks & springs. Over the winter I want to buy my suspension (probably some Function & Form Type 1's since their getting some really good reviews and fit my budget), 2000 Front end, Lips and all that good stuff so come spring time i'll just slap everything on and prep it for paint. :thumb:

Btw your sedan is coming along nicely I've been following your build thread for quite some time now. Where did you buy your rear window visor? I want one for my coupe. :hehe:

Thanks man, just checked out his site. Unfortunately, he is charging $100 for the wing and $23 for shipping, so i'm better off purchasing the one I saw on eBay which is the same material and brings all the hardware for $90 shipped. But thanks for your help!!
