- Tue Sep 21, 2010 1:07 am #214685 i don't have an oil pressure switch. i know some you don't have to have one. Its the jdm d15b vtec with a p28 ecu. will adding one shut the light off.

- Mon Apr 18, 2011 1:56 am #250883 I've by passed them before by taking a piece of wire about a inch and a half long and stripping 2 short sections on each end of it and turning the wire into a u shape and plugging it into the plug for the oil pressure switch making sure both stripped ends make connection to the pins on the plug, by all means you should try and find a switch to put in it imo, but I've done this before to get by in a pinch.... and with it done like this vtec will sometimes kick out when you exceeded 100mph
