- Fri Sep 10, 2010 1:51 am #212977 My buddy just got t-boned his 2000 si with a JDM ITR swap. He's selling me the ENTIRE swap for 2 grand. All OEM Honda parts. (He works at Honda, so it's VERY legit)


Anyhow, I'm about a month from trying to swap into my new EX coupe (Purple FTW) What do I need to do wiring wise to run this motor? My buddy told me I'm not gonna be able to run the JDM p73 in the car. I'm preeeetty bummed out that I'm not gonna be able to get the car running without a lot of extra work. What are my options here? Spell it out for me. Haha. I have two spare P28's, I just gotta know what I have to do/buy. I heard I need to get it chipped with an ITR basemap.

I live in the middle of central texas, with no tuning places that I know of. Where can I get a basemap for my JDM ITR, how much am I looking at, and how long should I expect to be waiting? Anyone know where in Texas I can go to get this taken care of?

- Fri Sep 10, 2010 3:45 am #212994 You will need a OBD1 distrubutor and alternator. Use your stock harness, run the extra vtec wires and pin them like honda would have. You should be able to get a obd1 to obd2 jumper harness and still use the jdm ecu.

- Mon Sep 20, 2010 3:38 pm #214601 After a lot of soul searching, I'm going to a dude by the name of Monotech for a solution. I'm sending him my harness, and he's adapting it for my swap, and sending me a chipped P28 with the ITR basemap. Hopefully this'll work out okay.

We're doing the swap this upcoming weekend, but my chipped P28 won't be in for another week or so. I have a spare virgin p28 from my Del Slo. What should I expect if I run the Type R with it temporarily? I don't want to blow my shit up you know?

What are some things I should expect?
