- Mon Oct 04, 2010 3:01 pm #216753 i wet sanded mine off after removing as much as i could with a razor blade ... you have to be careful with sanding as it can cause a deformation of the head/block.

I used a 12" long block style sander to help keep everything as level as possible.

Of course my block was on a engine stand and got cleaned EXTREMELY well after i did that.

- Mon Oct 04, 2010 3:45 pm #216762 I like razor blades but be very careful to keep the blade flat as possible so you don't put any nicks or gouges on the mating surface.
