- Sat Nov 06, 2010 6:20 pm #221875 it was posted twice ive talked with the guy and it seems like a good deal ive loved volvos and well as far as i can remember back my first car i ever drove was m fathers 5spd volvo 240 wagon however his was blue/blue....now as many of you knwo im struggling with keeping my 4dr civic as i dont like automatics and i think it is also bad mojo with my ex that makes me think bad of the car some time as she drove it mainly.....

so what do you guys think gotta say im a fan of volvo and this would probaly be better at hauling my honda parts and car parts engine swaps etc lol so i think imma try and sell my 4dr but we will see what happens just wondering what your guys opinion on volvos are and what not i mean i have my own but just curious as i think honda and volvo pre-ford are one of the most reliable easy to fix cars around...

i mean im not into big cars but i think this probaly wont be too big and ive driven volvos thru winter easily plus they are rwd and they have their own dohc swap and aftermarket parts tho as volvo is exclusive aftermarket parts are more pricey etc....


even thinking about owning a volvo again gets me thinking about the past cars ive owned and what i want to do to it etc....

so let me know what you think




Also im just wondering what your thoughts on a price for my 93 civic 4dr would be i have a spare engine that will go with it a/c blows cold everythings good except it smokes and needs an alignment....so any thoughts on a good price for that???

- Sat Nov 06, 2010 7:06 pm #221879 yea thats what im thinking my main happiness thought bubble about it is that its standard and an 88 so its phillips head screws instead of torque screws and other small details i have a rare a/c delete i snagged off an older volvo at my junkyard o i hope i can sell my 4dr shortly....

I'd shorten the listing up a bit though. If I were looking to buy, I wouldnt read all that. Id move on to the next car. Leave the other info for when/if they call.

I have a 1993 honda civic 4dr lx with some modifications in really good condition for its age....

mileage-195,950 with plenty left to go
color-white exterior tan interior
this is an lx model which has power mirrors, windows, cruise control, power steering tilt, steering wheel, and a a/c that blows cold


Mods
tan cloth integra seats with adjustable bolster
ek side skirts
oem rear mudflaps
ex/si dead pedal

-ive recently serviced the automatic transmission and torque converter used synthetic auto trans fluid and it shifts smoothly

-newer 13" tires with great tread life
-newer exhaust from the cat back
-new plugs, plug wires, newer distributor(has about 10k on it)
-new timing belt and water pump and tensioner done 2500 miles ago
-new drivers side engine torque mount

all in all a great car for the money ive sunk quite alot into it as it is a nice car great gas mileage and reliable

The car is still on the road licensed and registered so you can take a test drive but no joy rides....passed an inspection in april and would easily pass another one.

- Sat Nov 06, 2010 10:19 pm #221908 lol i know i would love sweden exspecially since volvo was made there id love to get my hands on a 242 or something like this but this wagon i plan on getting lowering springs the engines are actually universal to teh turbo engines so im definately thinking turbo it but for the time being its going to be my winter car....

there are plans in my head to what ive wanted to do when i got another volvo.....so fingers crossed my 4dr sells and i can get it because i loves me a volvo....

p.s. i shortened the post up quite a bit and get what you mean i was thinking the best post is a post that has all the info lol but yea who wants to read alot

- Sun Nov 07, 2010 6:38 am #221942 did but hes mainly interested in getting money out of it however he called me today and i think ive been the only inquire as it was over a week and he called me back so i think i have some play in the price but yea like i said need to get the civic gone first if that happens we will see im giving it about a week or two tops then im going to keep the 4dr and thats that lol...
