#223349 well as most of you know you get a new car one you just bought and things go thru your head and well now its happening to me as ive come to the thought of having one n/a car and one turbod car......

now there are many choices here with either my civic or volvo.....

the civic would be sweet as a turbo but then again its also sweet as a n/a car

and the volvo well to drive it n/a you would probaly want to do a engine swap and for the turbo just bolt on the turbo goodies from a engine similar to yours and its pretty much plug n play.....

now my whole idea for these two cars are somewhat the same motorsports daily driver....

i plan to auto cross the civic and rally x and possibly ice race the volvo ....

theres aftermarket support for either car so im not worried about that its just now i have amassed a fair amount of turbo goodies for my civic some of which can easily transfer to the volvo 740 and other of which i could sell and get quite a few dallors back and then buy a n/a engine for my civic such as a d15b a z6 a y8 or if i want to keep it non vtec which i kinda do a dohc zc a d16a6 or something like that i still would like to keep it d series as i have a crap ton of d parts....

and really the only n/a volvo swaps that really would be nice and torquey are v8's and v6's from fords and chevys i mean dont get me wrong i would love a turbo civic but in all honesty i think to keep my sanity im kinda leaning towards building a n/a civic and keeping it clean and boosting the volvo and keeping it slideways lol

just wondering what you guys thought about this as im up in the air i have been up in the air about all my projects and i just dont know lol i want a solid plan of action so i dont spend all my money on things i dont need

#223576 Given the fact your parting your turbo kit for the civic it makes since your turboing the volvo. Makes since as Hondas are semi-quick n/a with the correct engines, Your much heavier volvo needs some help.

indeed lol i pln on releiveing some of that weight but we will see how that goes the seats alone im sure are 100lbs outsa the car lol and i could care less about passengers just a passenger front seat just in case.....but yeaim hesitant at it because i dont know if ill get anything out of it but yea we will see i think for a first n/a to turbo project the volvo will be a good stepping stone as its pretty much take the turbo stuff off another volvo similar and bolt on and tune etc this way i can play with tuning as well....and in auto cross i wont be thrown in to an unbeleivably tough class lol since my civic will be pretty much stock. so yea hopefully with my paycheck this week i can get the volvo on the road and really test drive it and see what all it needs. besides making sure i keep oil in it due to the rear main seal leak....
