Spend $100 on an auto to manual conversion mount for the passenger side - well worth the $

I completly agree with you on that.Unless your doing a shave under the hood and getting it all painted. But if you want to keep the clean stock painted look spend the 100.Pedals arent fun to change either!

Scale of one to ten depending on your funds? Would you go with the conversion mount? People say you need to change your stationary mount on your cradle.Thats BULL. I would rate it a 5-6
The hardest part of the swap are
1.Pedals(drop your steering column)4 12mm bolts.
2.Trans mount,if you choose to use your existing mount you need to get a conversion mount. If you want to go all out.Drill all the spot welds out get a donor(5spd) mount and weld it back in. Someone clarify this. When you convert mounts dont you have to move it back an inch or something ?? 3.Lifting the gearbox in place when your at it by yourself

the conversion mount is as simple as bolting it in and bolting the tranny to it. no need to customize or weld anything with any of the conversion mounts I have seen.
I agree, the pedals are frustrating because there's little room to work under the dash!
And I've put the tranny in myself and getting it lined up was also a PITA
everything else was pretty simple.

First time i ever drove a std i jumped in it and went on.My gf behind me no insurance plates nothing. It was a $100 coupe that was rotten. It was my donor car.
First time i did anything with my car i had NO help.I did the 5spd conversion by myself! You won't learn if you don't try.Like there isnt enough help on this site to guide you through it step by step.Im not trying to be ignorant either.I say just go for it and if you have any question pm me if you have to, i will help 100%.Im on this daily.Just be sure to get the conversion mount first. Then giver!!
