American top gear episode 2 reveiws....

- Mon Nov 29, 2010 5:03 am #225001 alrite so just watched the second episode of top gear and well i dont know how they did it but they made a car show very unappealing to me i love cars but i hate this show now with a passion....

biggest piss off moment was the fin fat guy redneck nascar person saying oh why dose the speedo go to 220 maybe they're lieing or maybe its just a british thing to lie.... WTF? 1 i think a car show is no place for a remark like that because he pretty much was 100% serious yes top gear british was always commenting on other people and things like that but it was all in good fun or at least their insults where well crafted.

secondly they are ignorant people hosting tanner a professional drifter explained drifting to a blind guy whom never would see it and well yea the other two hosts couldnt get it if it was right infront of their faces they thought it was power sliding and yes it may be semi true but its a controlled power slide something the fat ass couldnt figure out.....

and lastly have one interviewer whos interesting and good at it dont try and change it up because im sure they all suck at it to some extent but yea thats not the worst part the worst part is this show seems like a you pay me money to promote your car or im going to say its crap type deal....

so anyhow what do you guys think??

i think im done with watching it but i want to see their first cheap car challenge....but that dosent look to interesting either because they already referenced nascar to me nascar isnt a race sport more of another way to glorify a person with fame and fortune....whilst other races are actually built upon the car its handleing and the driver as one nascar is just the person and politics .....and a shit ton of restrictions and rules....

Plus top gear will always have jokes and random stuff in the show so I guess they were trying their best to be like the brit show..... I mean the original top gear is a big shoe to fit into....(I think that's how u say it :headscratch: )

However the whole intro to the the stig was not funny like its sopose to be its missing the two jokes and the car that was tested on the test track wasn't amusing...

Over all I liked it... after all its only the second episode there still is room for improvement

I just cant get into it. everything feels very forced and boring. Top Gear outside the UK can work. Ive seen some of the Australian version and it was pretty good. But here in America we are really good at making shitty remakes.

They can save this show, but its going to take some work. Tanner is by far the best driver but he needs to loosen up and take the stick out of his ass and enjoy himself. Adam cant drive for shit, nor is he a gear head I think he needs to get quietly swapped out for somebody else. Rutledge has room for improvement, he needs to learn that in the world outside nascar people do make right turns. The best on screen tonight was the guide dog, he at least improvised and pissed on the set which was the only thing that made me laugh.

Anyways, who is ready for season sixteen of Top Gear UK?

lol yea i remember that dog pissing i thought a better thing would be for the dog to crap on stage lol but yea Im so ready for season 16 cannot wait for the winter christmas special...

also to add to my thing im not giving up entirely but i do have to say ive lost my hope for it but like i said im not going to stop watching unless the first cheap car challenge sucks horribly like theirs always a purpose but if the purpose is to see who can get the best car to moonshine in thats just retarded ......but yea anyhow the essence that i think is missing is the connection to the commoner and not try and think they (the hosts) are better then us because they are on tv and stuff like that tanner is closest to that i think....probaly due to his age but yea its a tough call but there are things missing

those 2 episode were gud but not as enjoyable as the old top gear...
I think Fifth Gear is now better than Top Gear.. :lol:

IDK..i'll keep watchin simply because I am a car nut and the brittish one is off for now.

lol x2 and yea i think thats also a thing i hat ethe helicopter, the snow race these things are copies of the original that where awesome because of the nuttyness but in the american version things seem a tad govt / law controlled you dont see tanner in a mitsubishi rally car driveing down the mountain nor do you see them doing unlawful things on the road....
