but the main difference is your comparing crank hp (b16) to wheel horsepower (turbo D)

I know but i would go back to single cam turbo again there just so much fun and motors are cheaper in case you blow it up

What it all comes down to is how deep your pockets are.

If you're well off enough to be able to fix anything if it breaks, then go turbo D. If money is a lil tight go with the reliability of the B16.

i think when it comes down to it ure gonna be spending the same amount on both... just depends if u wanna go boost or all motor...

i hardly drive the civic, but of course i still want it to be reliable, which is why i gave the B a thought. but with a turbo i get so much more bang for the buck.

yeah i have been thinking about going that route, ive got a friend who's good with tuning ecus, i freak out everytime i see a circuit board.

i asked him to take a look at it but he's too busy these days. thanks for the suggestion!

Agreed. If you do good mods to the B16 youll have just a few ponies short of a turbo D setup, but you can smash the throttle as much as you want without fear. If I was on a "budget" id go B16 for the long run. If you dont care what happens, slap that snail on.
