on a 7" Rim 205 will look bulgy, 195 will give it a nice streched look with out actually being really streched.

I love how the Sedan is coming along. :thumb: :thumb:

glad to hear they don't look retarded... i'm very interested in what you mean by the bulge? i'm use to bulging in say, 4x4 tires where if you have a skinny rim and a big tire, it will stick out some, is that what kinda your talking about?

this is my first time fitting tires to rims so i need all the info i can get! thanks guys![/quote]

Thats exactly correct

205's will kinda buldge out like this:

The Tire starts narrow, then widens in the middle, Okay for normal sedan but look uncool on Low Profile tires.

195's will let you have a much flatter look to them, where they start out wider and get narrower towards the road, almost a streched look, kidna like this except not as extreme:

#228464 wow, i missed this post... thanks for that info man, seems logical. I got some 15x7 rims that i just picked up today, i think i really like them so far, now i just need tires, i don't know how much longer the stockers are gonna last. I was torn about what tires to get...

but here they are!

so i love the tires so far, the 50 series sidewall on the 15 inch rims makes for such a nice ride in comparison to my 17's with skunk2 coilovers... the tires handle the water pretty well and send the shit flying behind me. very busy weekend

chrono- i don't know if you can see but the sidewall is pretty flat, no bubble really and they have some nice overhang to protect the wheels, i really like how meaty they are

#228982 I'm happy how the wheels came out. The tire does look pretty flat on the sidewalls. Thats good. :thumb:

Your Sedan looks really good with the Rims.
I think if you painted them White it would pop better with the White Car.

thanks man! yeah i'm thinking i might paint the wheels down the road but maybe when i need new tires  i like the way the sidewall is as well, i really wanted the 205 width, glad these worked out plus i can kinda curb it and save the wheels...

well i must say that i do like these tires, they handle pretty well in the rain.. it just snowed a little bit this morning and they did fine. they throw water well behind me, kinda funny to see people cram in behind me and get sprayed... it's like SUV spray :)

i havent really done much lately, however i did score a battery tie down for $10:

But I'm ordering:
1.) Precision 780cc Injectors
2.) Turbo-Smart or TiaL 38mm external wastegate
3.) New Ebay Cast mani (so i can keep a/c this time)
4.) AEM wideband O2 Sensor (comes with a bung)
5.) 1600 CFM Radiator fan (going to use existing fan for a/c condenser fan as a pusher)

the Mani is coming first so i can get my turbo motor in the bay! :bigok:

hey thanks man!

so for some updates:

i havent been up to much with it except for i installed an alarm that was a pretty BIG ass install. it's a Remote start/alarm with some goodies. i took me about 4 days of installing it, some days more work than others but i still have some fine tuning to do and i still need to install my trunk actuator..

^ if you notice, i have the gearshift indicator next to the time. it has a Manual transmission mode set up so it's not illegal to install on a standard transmission. you have to get out with the car running after you park and shut the car down with the lock button. Man it sure was nice having remote start through the ice and shit :thumb:

then i decided last weekend to wax my car, my buddy brought his truck over and we washed and waxed in the rain

Image

and this is how it turned out, looks pretty decent! brought that factory shine back (i think)

so I'm going to be pulling the engine out of my purple car tomorrow!
i have my new cast mani, resonator, exhaust components, 2 conversion harnesses for the Engine harness and i need to pick up a water pump gasket and some M8x1.25 grade 10.9 hardware for exhaust bolts for the Downpipe and Turbo Flange.

i will keep posted...this is the fun part :hehe:

#234114 This is going pretty quick. Pumped for more updates.

Sucks about your tire being flat. Always sucks heading out to your car to go somewhere and not being able to.
