D15, D16, D17 and Mini-Me swaps

#231106 I currently have a d15b7 in the car and will be doing a b series swap later on. However the valve seals died in the head and I have another D15B7 head I am going to swap out. Got the whole gasket set, water pump and timing belt to do this. Wondering if there were any tips and tricks on how to do it faster. Any help is appreciated thanks

#231119 you should also replace the timing belt tensioner while you are at it. and you will need an intake manifold gasket if the kit didnt come with one

#231147 Forgot to mention I have the timing belt tensioner and the kit did come with an intake manifold gasket. Just trying to figure out the easiest way to do the head swap. I swapped motors and worked on them but never a head swap, hopefully wont be to difficult.

* Graphite head gasket
* Intake manifold gasket
* Exhaust manifold gasket
* Valve cover gasket
* Viton valve stem seals
* Camshaft front seals and other small gaskets, seals, and O-rings.

Plus water pump, timing belt and tensioner I got from Auto Zone.

if your just doing a head swap for a short term thing dont worry about head bolts iv reused head bolts plenty of times with no problems
as for easy and quick get a buddy to help you
but heres how iv done it
disconect everything that conects to the head minus the intake manifold
start at the bottom of the motor and work your way up
or vis versa
just make sure evrything is off the head or disconected and loosen the head bolts take them out and pull the head off with the two hands god gave ya
theres no fast and accurate way to do anything
iuf its your first head swap take your timedont rush and pay attention to evreything every little bolt and every vacum line and so on and so forth

and theres a stupid bracket attached to the underside of your intake mani that will need to come off
