#23265 Im not much on rebuilds but if it is # 2 bearing and you said youd hit the throttle a few times thats all it could take...but from what i've seen your not the kind of person to hammer his new motor so Id go bitch at the builder. Its your money, he should fix it even if you have to buy a new bearing, he should do it for free or half cost or something. If you want I have two friends that have helped me in negotiations...Smith&Wesson. I can have them help you too :bye:

#23282 I dropped the bearings off friday at the builders shop. the guy I left them with said that since the bottom ones had more wear, it was a sign of fuel in the oil. After telling him I ran a stock ECU and the rest of the motor was pretty much stock too, he didn't have any other ideas. He also said after looking at bearing #2 that the crank is fine to use w/o micropolishing. He left them for the builder to look at, I'm going to give them a call on monday. at this point I could care less about spending $40 on new rod bearings, I just want to drive my civic!
