#236464 so i purchased this aem intake but it was painted 2 different colors by some idiot kids with paint you have runs etc its just plain nasty.....

anyhow im wondering the best and safest way to remove the paint as id like to try and conserve the aem intake sticker thats on it but i doubt i can dont know if i can get a replacement either. and id like to try to conserve the red anodized original color...

any help is greatly appreciated its snowing quite good here so i thought id tackle making this intake look better....

#236507 Soap, sponge and fingernails.... :?

Leaving the sticker and original anodizing.. not sure. Aircraft paint stripper MAY not remove the annodizing... it might not seep through the two other layers so you could spray a little on to loosen the paint and wash it off... just do it carefully.

#236509 Imonearly impossible and as far as keeping sticker ...tape it off and scrape surrounding paint with razor

#236514 you can try a rag and wiping it down with paint thinner (lacquer thinner) because if some kids spray bombed it there's a good chance it was lacquer spray paint (which doesn't get too hard) from a local store instead of professional urethane (which cures hard as a rock)

#236563 so bam asked my mother to just try to remove the sticker she thought i didnt care about the sticker so would it be sufficient enough to just get the regular sticker that just says aem on it if i where to sell it?? a new sticker that was like the one that was on my intake is 25$ shipped....unless i find a deal somewhere
