- Tue Feb 22, 2011 1:05 am #240140 Yes, it will work, You need: engine(duh), computer and wiring harness. You could mod the wiring you have from what I've heard. As for fun, get a man trans., the d16, hook 'em together and drop it in at the same time. I'm running with the autotragic now(bought that way) and can't wait to finish getting the parts I need for the swap. You won't hit VTEC, because the trans shifts too soon. If you can't drive stick, and want something fast, at least go with a six cylinder.

Automatic won't be so easy. Your eg has an manual kickdown which is hooked onto your throttle body,where as the ek trans is all controlled electonically. I strongly recommend if you go this route automatic use all the gear it came with to attach it to the crank

- Wed Feb 23, 2011 1:46 am #240359 Well both autos are jamless lmao.Only hope you have is an ek si or eg si. You will want every bit of vtec you can get if your rocking an auto. OR get a V6!

If you decide to do a manual swap which i would do.I've done 3 so far, but that is besides the point.If you have ANY questions or need a parts list shoot me a pm i will be more then glad to help.

There is enough knowlegde on this site for you to do do that comfortabily.Hell if i was close enough id do it free of charge

will a 92-95 ex auto trans be more fun to drive? yes
does he want to swap a manual in? no
ex/si trans are the best trans for a b7 ifs it auto or manual doesnt matter ex/si trans is the best "fun" trans for a b7
