which will be faster?? is there an effeciency issue why u should run one or the other??

Big turbo, more lag, but will come on a lot harder.

- Wed Mar 30, 2011 11:56 am #247092 If you are looking for a smoother powerband a smaller turbo will suit your needs much better. It's all about properly sizing the turbo for your particular application.

In general yes a smaller turbo will give you more bottom end, and not as much up top ... and it will spool up very quickly.

A large turbo will sacrifice torque down low to give you a kick in the pants once it get's spooled, but you have to rev higher to get any use out of it.

It's all about finding a happy medium. What are your goals for the setup ... other than 300 whp? Because if that's your only goal, just find any turbo capable of reaching that and boost away. There are other things to consider when trying to size a turbo.
