Well instead of taking the engine out n painting the bay, i decided 2 mask stuff off, use towels watever the hell i could find n paint the engine bay. I only did this because it was red n was all scratched n crappy looking. Now it's all 1 color n it actually looks ok. This was also done cause im waiting 4 my headgasket 2get here this friday n i was bored n it's 4 shits n giggles.

Not sure if you did the linkage and shifter yet but it's a price of cake just take you knob of the shifter and go under the car and there's about 3 or 4 bolts and the whole shit drops out.
Good work on the car, do you do the work yourself or take it somewhere? It's seems like your always saying "got it back from the shop" if so it's not a bad thing... Better them screwing it up yourself... Just stick around and watch what their doing and get a feel for it, it'll save you some dough down the road
One other question? If your planing on painted the car white... Why did you paint the bay black haha

Thanks. Theres times when i wanna just give up n quit but i gotta work up to a fast, reliable, n fun hatch n i know that i will get there 1 day n that keeps me motivated n also seeing everybody's rides n updates on this site.

I would take it 2 the shop cause i would get really good pricing n the owner would give me warranty, n my garage at the time was full of boxes, but now that i cleaned it out i'm doing all the work. N i'm about 2 do the shift linkage really soon. I painted it black because i had a full can of primer n paint n i hated my red engine bay.

No Dout my cars a candy paint and the engine bay was left the base silver coat and I can't stand it haha makes me not want to lift the hood with people around haha
