#251837 That white mark on the crank pulley is the TDC mark. that should line up with the mark on the lower timing cover when your look from above down to the crank pulley . and your Cam gears should have the UP mark pointing up. and the left amnd right lines aligned to the surface where the valve cover meets the head..

thanks thats what i always thought but the chilton manual says to put it in the middle of the 3 marks(the red one) whats that for anyway
