#255437 so i drove my car to work.. i worked my 8 hours, then when i go to leave my car wont start.

i finally get it going with some starting fluid and it runs like ass. cylinder 4 and 2 do not fire at all. i have spark at all plugs, wires are good, and i freshened up my dizzy. any other ideas?

#255440 check your injectors to make sure something didnt gum them up at the same time (make sure they are both spraying) and check your compression. Doesnt seem very likely though that two injectors would fail together so my bet is with your compression.

#255443 i was wondering if that could have SOMETHING to do with it.. i'm not gonna lie, i'm not very motor savvy and am learning as i go.

i noticed with my cam gear, it seemed like it wasn't on time as well. when my car idles, it idles reallllllly rough. could that be another possibility?

#255444 The timing being off would effect all the cylinders equally. However, your timing should definitely be correct, so if it isnt, fix that as well. Compression guages are pretty cheap at auto parts stores. I think i payed around 20 dollars for mine.

#255454 If you jumped timing you could have smacked your valves. On all honda motors timing is crutial, just 1/2 a tooth can destroy the entire motor. So i would def check your compression in all cylinders if you have no compression check the valves. Hope that you didnt and wish your motor the best.

x2. Anytime you have poor compression the best place to start is by pulling off your head.

#255466 I personally just popped my HG on my D15B7 and had to do it all took awhile but, like the smart person i am some times didnt put the motor at TDC,
"heres a tip ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT YOUR DOING PUT THE MOTOR AT TDC JUST INCASE" took the head off replaced the gasket got the timing belt back on and cranked.........jumped timing, the belt tensioner that i did not touch, but one of my friends losened and said he tightned back up was just as loose as can be. Did not break anything, because fortunetly im a very luckey person (or so i found out) and i just missed smacking valves -_- the D15 runs like a champ again but i will never remove a head or anything for that matter before TDCing it. Removing the head is a very simple process though i did it with the intake manifold still on removed all the sensors and hoses and lifted it up. Enjoy be careful and take your time and have funn its all about the learning curve and these motors are great motors to learn on.
