use a p06 ecu, that will fix at least 2 codes.
p07 is for d15z1, vtec (code 21)
and wants a wide band o2 sensor (code 41)

4 = CKP - crank position sensor
7 = TPS - throttle position sensor

I didn't even catch that he posted that... that's the first step, getting a different ECU.
The p06 is for the 16 valve D15b7 in the dx, lx civics. The cx has the 8 valve D15b8 motor which uses the p05 ecu.

#255772 i got the p06 and it still does it =(

it throws out
4 crank position sensor
6 water temp sensor
16 fuel injectors
41 o2 sensor

i know the water temp and the o2 sensor wont make it fail it. but idk what else it could be. im about to get rid of this car

#255775 hmmm So what kind of hatch is your car? (cx, dx, vx...)

And it ran fine before you changed the timing belt? Have you checked the timing (marks on the pulley) to be sure that everything is at top dead center?

There were no check engine codes before this correct?

#255813 idk exactly the model. but its no thte original engine thats in there
before. the cluster didnt work so i put in a new one and then it showed the CEL.
but the timing is all set right.

it only does it once it gets warm like when its have way on the temp gauge

#255848 check with your insurance company. usually when you insure the car and give them the vin, they put the make, model & trim on the insurance statement :thumb:

Just trying to figure out what your car should be since it's a little bit of everything right now. from there we'll figure out what is wrong one by one but the type of car is a good place to start :thumb:

#255891 except it's got an 8v motor, not 16v (don't believe everything on the internet) :wink:
I also noticed that you got a P06 ecu instead of a P05. (looks like you might have missed my earlier post) You need to get the correct ECU before trying anything else.

#255931 dang haha. so i need p05. alright i guess time to look for one of those haha thanks man.

#255935 that should solve at least a couple of those codes... the o2 sensor code for sure. CX uses a 1-wire o2 while the P06 ecu is looking for a 4-wire o2 sensor.
