#256288 Is your timing set correctly? And are your spark plugs in the correct order? When your ignition is turned on the on position is the engine light staying on?

#256341 i figured it out got it crunk earlier its because i needed a diff dizzy i now u prob think im stupid. i borrowed a new dizzy from my friend. anyone got any good prices on a aftermarket dizzy or even a stock one? the check engine light was on idk if it is now. gotta change the oil pan i was leaking oil when i started. update in a lil bit.

#256408 ok we had it running. but every time i gave it gas when i let off the gas it went dead. i tried adjusting the dizzy and it didnt help so i thought it was a tooth out of time. so i tried to redo the time. i thinke its in time. but i can get the tensioner pully tight. i thought i got it tight once and crank it and the timing belt tried to come off. it almost slid all the way off the cam. idk what im doing wrong the pully bolt dont want to tighten anymore... The bolt isnt going to tighten the belt u have to move and hold the tensioner till you feel the belt get tighter.. the bolt is just to hold the Tensioner in place. and your saying the pulley bolt do you mean the Crankshaft pulley bolt?

#256507 no it was the tensioner pully bolt it was stripped got it fixed. got it running ok then. it started running hot.

#256518 :woot: i changet the senser thats in the thermostat housing. the fan started kickin on and after i got the air out the lines the thermostat started opening then. ran it for a bit and took it for a test drive it drives good but there is a ticking noise i think it may be a lifter or mayber just the valves. sither way its alot better than the old one. wich the crank was fucked on and it was making the loudest nock i ever heard come out of a car. ty teal and everyone esle who helped me. now i have completed my first motor swap.

#256520 although i did notice that my check engine light wont go out. any ideas? i can try in a day or so to go get it on a machine
