- Mon Jul 04, 2011 7:45 pm #262276 Depends how many miles you got on the clock, or should I say how many miles the engine has done. Older engines may need heavier oil. As well as my Civic I got an Impreza Turbo. I use 10w/40 in that. Its had 10w/40 since about 50k miles its now done 120k.

OEM Spec is 5W30. It will all depend on your mileage and driving conditions(hot/cold).

- Tue Jul 05, 2011 8:34 pm #262416 the engine has around 120xxx, and i live in detroit. its been pretty hot this summer so thats why i was concerned. i have an ebay turbo kit thats tuned very well to 6psi.
