#264399 I currently own a 1995 Honda civic Lx Sedan. With a D15B7, 232K on it. Engine runs strong but burns way to much oil. I found a D16Y8 on craigslist here in my city for $650, comes with transmission, half shafts and shifter linkage. What would I have to do to get the engine to run in my car? Can I use the ECU from my D15B7? Do I need to rewire everything? what do?

#264420 the y8 is a vtec motor, you can use your harness but you would have to wire up vtec. the correct ecu to use is the coveted P28.

#264459 Any Idea where I can find a good one for cheap? Ebay? anything I should look for? I am a swap virgin, as you can tell. I am on a very tight budget and don't want to screw up.

thanks

#264480 and get a p28 from a manual car (assuming you have a manual transmission). You can get an auto P28 but it will have to be converted to manual by doing some soldering.

#264605 after u get the y8 and the p28 ecu

your gonna want to use ur b7 injectors, ur b7 dizzy
ur b7 alternator, and ur b7 throttle body, nd b7 IACV( your gonna have to shave some of the manifold off to fit the obd1 IACV in the y8 manifold)
and your gonna have to drill a hole in the back of the manifold for the IAT(Teal_dx has that info in his mini write up) or ghetto rig it into the air intake tube
