#264350 My last B20V build was simple...

B20B block
84.5 RS ITR pistons (whatever rings they come with from RS Machine)
LS rods w/ARP bolts
ACL bearings
Balanced rotating assembly (including flywheel)
Fluidampr crank pulley
B16 head w/Nolands Stage 2.5 port and polish (shit work, definitely should have went with someone more reputable)
Buddy Club Spec IV's (professionally degreed)
Supertech "allmotor" springs, retainers
OEM valve locks
Skunk2 Pro gears
Blox IM
Hondata IM gasket
Pro. Products 68mm TB
RC 440's (& Walbro 255)
hytech replica header (2.5" collector)
tuned on Hondata S300 (w/tunerview)
exhaust was simple Magnaflow cat, 24"x3" resonator and a turn down

I made 215/16x at Revline in KC, MO.

Relatively cheap w/great results.

How much did that build cost you from start to finish? If you don't mind me asking. Also, what compression were you running?

#264464 Pretty basic setup for me

99Spec JDM B20b(same as usdm b20z) Engine
- GSR Timing belt and Water Pump
- Generic Intake
- Pace Setter Headers
- Modified stainless steal exhaust pipe with turbo muffler
99/00 EM1 B16 Transmission
- XTD Stage 2 Clutch
- Custom Short Shifter

Not sure what HP at the wheels, Brand new stock the 99b20 had that at the crank. It pulled a 15.6 at the 1320, Still slipping tires, Once I fix my lack of traction issues it will go faster.

#264637 Thats not too bad. My buddy spent around 10 grand on his build. From start to finish.

#264644 I wish I would have used a better head porter, the local I used specializes in V8's and stuff, so when I gave him my head he just went crazy and took too much out and actually hurt performance.

I only put about 8k miles on until some old lady hit me head on.

#264954 i have a semi built b18b in my car its been bored out.30 with 11.5:1 comp pistons, custom ground cams ,mild port and polish i port matched the exhaust side and i port matched the intake to the head it has a b16 tranny with lsd i put down a 15.8 spinning through 3rd on street tires it cost aout 1400 for the motor to be built and like 600 for the tranny which isnt bad at all in my opinion :thumb: but it needs to be tuned but it has like 170 horsepower

#264986 15.8 with that setup? You shoul be running way faster. Buy a pair of slicks.

#265266 I heard LSD isn't really helpful when it comes to drag racing. Anybody know if this is true?

#265325 yes its very effective when drag racing it helps with a better launch and putting all your power to both wheels instead of just one

LSD is good all around, helps to put power down, in most cases from the factory the axle that has the shortest distance to the wheel is the one that gets power.
