Hi Guys and Gals,
A quick question regarding the good old crank and no start condition. Sorry its a long post, I lost my multimeter and wanna save some cash if I can....
My little brother and I both drive DX's, my last LSi Coupe died from this condition so when Jim rang me as he'd broken down I went out to help. His engine cut out when driving, started again for a few miles then cut out and wouldn't start again. After an hour of waiting for me it started then died as soon as he gave it a little throttle and died for good. We checked the obvious stuff but thought wed put my dizzy on his engine and everything ran fine.
Rather than replace the whole dizzy, if I replace his coil and igniter module do you think those are the only things inside the dizzy that could cause the issue?
I did put my cap and rotor arm on his dizzy also and that did nothing. Leads and plugs are also fine. I'm assuming it can only be the coil and ICM??
Cheers in advance
