Ok, when I got my eg8 it ran terrible. it appeared to be timed wrong on the cam and ignition. It looked like it was a tooth off, so I adjusted it and retimed the ignition. My issue is that according to the timing pointers, my cam is 1/2 a tooth off. are the pointers off? my tensioner bolt is accessable through the hole so im thinking that i have the right belt but if I do have the right belt then do i need an adjustable cam gear? Please enlighten me on this issue. It doesnt run bad but if I get into full throttle I can hear the engine through the air filter so i know that something isnt right with this.
