How do you know when they are getting worn down? i have a feeling they might be a reason why my throttle response is a little off.

does it run rich at all? and try cleaning the throttle body and iacv and fitv if you have it

If you get new plugs, go with iridium, preferably NGK.

Having a sweet mustache is half the battle.
