#272823 Hey all i have a D13 project what im looking to get more power from without spending major money. People have suggested weber 40 conversion what i like the sound of, but im just abit confused about what i would do with the loom.

As on the standard d13 carb and manifold the are lots of plugs etc on the manifold. what would happen to them? as the manifold i have researched, a rowland m043 (i think) doesn't have any holes for sensors/plugs etc?

Could anybody give me advice or a step by step how to? i am willing to read and research things my self i just cant find much on this conversion:(

Without sounding ignorant i am! wanting to keep the D13 as insurance is enough for me already and like on other forums people are just saying go B! lol

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks folks! :D

#272890 hi mate, if your willing it would be worth swaping for another d-series, like a d15b7 (like mine :hehe: ) quick enough for me and iv only been driving a year.

the police wouldnt notice as they look the same, 16v SOHC. i would recomend telling insurance but its up to you wether you do or not

i have read that you could convert to a D15B7 intake manifold. someone please correct if im wrong as im not 100% that im right.

#272908 Got a eg3 myself fun little car. I've almost got my renewal so I'll be saving my pennies for me upgrade but thought Id give me input on what I was gonna do to my civic:

Don't bother with the Weber's mate, get the dual carbs from the civic d14a1, get them with the intake heard its straight bolt on little tuning heard you can get easy 15bhp. There's sometimes one or two on ebay you should pick them up for around 100 quid or less.

With the manifold, I paid 70 quid delievered foe a budget one on eBay that is actually pretty good, and you can plug your old lambda into it., that including a catback and you could push to 100 Bhp, not to sad for a 1.3!

Keep me posted on what you do!

Thanks matey, Yeh iv'e also been cosidering the twin carbs from the d14a as that looks like a pretty easy swap like you say.

Although the reason im asking for so much advice with the webers is because my uncle has a really clean set he says i can have from an old alfa romeo project car he used to have. And as im treating the car as a major project( it aint gonna be on the road any time soon) i have time to source the parts needed.

Thanks for your input though dude :thumb:

#273137 No worries man, I've just heard that the time and work for the webbers is more than the dual carbs, and there's no real difference.
