Still have to rip the walls apart, and the utility company is requiring every house to have a new breaker box and wireing to it. And thats on the owner. Also they wont turn it back on until its signed off by a electrican. Might be going down this weekend to help. Thanks from john and his family for all of your support.

#273712 $77.69 dollars has been collected so far. I made the first transfer to John today as he finally found a computer to use. They have been tearing the house down room by room. I'll be out this weekend to help.

#274102 Thank you all for your support money is mainly going right to my mom to help pay for the electrician and water heater and furnace (well mainly the water heater lol) damn things are expensive but its going to be a new home with old memories right now it dosent feel like the house i grew up in at all....but just to give a update mainly just cleaning cleaning and more cleaning going on in and around the house going through papers and flooded items still seeing whats salvageable i was able to help get 3 of 4 lawn mowers that were completely submerged running again and now im on my 5th the 4th one well it ran just wouldnt idle and had a nasty knocking but the owners never took care of it at all....i dont know if anyone knows anyone near me who would like ham radio antennas they were my dads and id like them to go to a good home instead of a scrap yard mainly outdoor antennas that are rather tall and get good range free to a good home....if its someone in ties with civic-eg im going to post them all on craigslist for 100$ or something cant let them sit anymore....

and on the upside i do beleive this week will be our busiest with electricians, and the heating and hot water tank being put in. then its power back on and let the walls dry rain isnt helping them much but at least its slowly getting there. also not pictured yet we tore up the bathroom for the most part left the toilet for now we definately need it putting in 12-13 hours in a day daily havent had a break in awhile but once again i would like to say thank you and hopefully i will have good news in the future. tho my car may be sold off with all the parts since I cant do any kind of project right now im hopeing tho i may get back into an eg maybe a hatch or del sol time can only tell

#275693 So we have electricity but it will be awhile before heat makes its way into our home in the past heavy rain there was about 3 more inches of water in our basement so my mother is looking into locating the furnace and hotwater tank to the attic or so we shall see how that goes other then that going through the things i was able to save and cleaning big time and that will really take awhile but updates will keep comeing ep3 came last weekend and helped a great deal i am very thankful for him and everyone else here on civic-eg.

#275705 roof heat and ac unit could be doable and would work better than attic. as far as hot water, its too heavy to put a big tank in the attic. when you needed to change it out you could never get in down safely without 3 people. i would put it on the first floor on cement blocks.
