i seen someone post on the forums' facebook that they're selling a gsr motor and tranny for hella cheap in so cal i fantasized my sedan with a GSR 8) :roll: :twisted: if he hits me back up and nothing is wrong with the motor or tranny i might get it ...might :)

i guess i just came at the right time :p most of the time i don't find nothing but i always have to leave the junkyard with something..like a shift knob, relay, clock, etc. :lol: last visit i ended up getting a GSR shifter and shift knob :)

*Update *
My EG is officially my project I bought a Mazda Protegé 94 automatic sedan with 140k miles which is now my daily driver it actually goes faster than my d15b7 :lol:

I have school and bills coming up so I'll know by the end of this month doesn't help I got demoted :thumbdown: didn't think it was possible but at least I didn't get let go like other employees :thumbdown:

Yeah I feel like I never got to have it at it's full potential I seen a meet over here in the SB a hour ago and I have to keep my sedan :twisted:

- Sat Nov 12, 2011 9:31 pm #281216 little update i was going to buy another sedan ex model for cheap from my friend but he decided to keep it but he's going to sell me the motor for an unbelievable low price i can't pass off
cons:
it has 250,000+ miles on it
the car has been overheating even though he got a new radiator, the head has been resurfaced and got new head gasket just recently; from what he told me he re-used the OEM head bolts

pros:
its going to be uber cheap
its USDM don't have to worry about smog
easier to find parts for
i know the history on it meaning it's not stolen :thumb:

I'll be pulling the motor out this week hopefully depending on the weather but before I'll be doing a compression test to check. Regardless i want to rebuild it to know it'll be reliable for the future.
