I have found a GSR head The guy claims it is ported and pollished and so is the intake manifold.
It dose not come with Valves/Springs and Retainers.
But it does come with Cams/Solonoid and valve cover.

Should I pick this up and risk it? send it off to a machine shop and have them examit it or should I not get it?

The Head is 300 bucks.

The Guy says he does not have paper work for the porting and pollishing :/

valve springs and retainers arnt so big of deal if your going to replace them anyways..

the valve keepers are like 7 bucks a piece ( and thats 16 valves x2)

is he taking offers?

i know here in o state you can get lucky and get a complete b16 head or or GSR head for 250-400 bucks pending the condition

its just something to think about if you do or dont...

And after talking with him some more it wasnt done at a shop, it was done by a "friend" So its kinda shady to me/tuner.

So instead I have found some Denji Headlights That I am gonna use for a retrofit

Sucks tho I really need to get a Vtec head so I can put it on the b20

Oh well just wait until a better time and find a more reliable head. Remember to get a gsr and not a b16 if you are going to do a b20v.

And to op i think passing was def the right decision I never am willing to buy anything from people who have had work "done by a friend"

- Wed Dec 28, 2011 10:36 pm #287405 Yeah thats why I passed it up... Being done by a friend is kinda a no no... I have had frineds build there own heads before... and well needless to say they needed a new one later anyway. lol

But yeah I am def. getting a GSR head... hopefully my B20V then will be bad ass, but im in no rush. the way things are its gonna be a winter build for next year with a new bottom end/head.
